Interaction Languages

Date: Ongoing
Client: Self Initiated
Project Type: Theory, Interaction Framework

We have a long standing interest into methods for the rapid prototyping of novel interaction techniques and interface types. A tool that we have found useful in the past are custom interaction languages. OFID is interested in exploring the strengths and limitations of these techniques. In particular, the possibility of these in constructing so-called "plastic" interactions cannot be discounted -- the ability for a single description of an interaction to be instantly instantiated in a variety of physical and digital forms.
