MyVoice AAC
Date: September, 2009 - April 2010
Client: University of Toronto, KMDI, TAG Lab
Project Type: Interaction Design, Mobile Interface Design, Information Visualization
MyVoice AAC is a location aware, digital system to aid those with anomic anaphasia. My involvement in the project (back when it was known as "Marco Polo") was fairly broad, including design direction in the development of mobile applications, information visualization, and general user experience. You can see some of the user interfacehere, which, at the time, we were afraid were too avant garde.
There is also a more detailed discussion of it on the blog.
A year after I finished working on it, MyVoice has been released to great acclaim. It has received substantial press coverage and was a top Apple App Store download.
